For adult men, otoplasty is a very common plastic surgery.
Women find this operation relatively difficult. With otoplasty (ear plastic surgery) the plastic surgeon reshapes the pointy ears, correcting their shape and size.
OTOPLASTY CONCERNS CHILDREN AS WELL!
The operation can be performed on children, from the age of 5 years (when the formation of the fin has been completed by 85% -90%).
Since this feature is on the face and is difficult to "hide", the problem of pointy ears is accompanied by particularly strong negative emotions.
HOW IS IT DONE?
Otoplasty is performed under general anesthesia until the age of 14 and with local anesthesia at older ages. With an invisible incision on the back surface of the fin, which will never be visible, the shape of the anther or the angle of the niche in relation to the mastoid process is corrected with the use of sutures.
