HOW SPIDER VEINS IN THE LEGS ARE CAUSED

Varicose veins are mainly capillaries or larger vessels, the valves of which have been damaged. Blood flow is significantly higher and to the opposite direction than normal, which is responsible for their enlarged and dilated form on the legs.

The appearance of varicose veins in the legs can be due to various factors such as overexposure to sunlight, injury, heredity, hormonal disorders. Additional aggravating factors are considered to be obesity, long hours of standing or sitting, mainly due to work, taking contraceptives or hormone therapy, lack of exercise, some massage techniques, but also thrombophilia, ie the tendency of blood to form clots. However, in many cases, their appearance may be due to venous insufficiency, so before treatment, triplex may be recommended.

LEG SPIDER VEINS TREATMENT

Leg varicose veins occur in 1 in 2 women during their lifetime. Unlike facial varicose veins, leg varicose veins are sometimes associated with venous insufficiency, but most often are the result of some daily habits (such as excessive sun exposure, long standing or sitting posture, increased body weight, lack of exercise, birth control pills intake, etc.).

In our clinic, lower body varicose veins are treated with a combination of LASER and - if necessary - Sclerotherapy. In just a few sessions, varicose veins "fade" and the skin stays clean, uniform, without any scars. The treatment is completely safe and painless, suitable for any skin type and any type of varicose veins, regardless of their depth, thickness or diameter.

COMBINATION TREATMENT FOR 100% EFFECTIVE ACTION

It has been found that LASER and Sclerotherapy combination treatment, works collaboratively and offers the best results in eliminating varicose veins on the legs. At Flawless Dermatology, LASER and Plastic Surgery Clinics, our experienced team effectively treats varicose veins of the lower body by following these steps:

  • Examination of the varicose veins and evaluation of the appropriate protocol treatment. With LASER, Sclerotherapy or combination of both
  • Evaluation of possible venous insufficiency. It is possible to perform triplex veins of the lower body
  • LASER or Sclerotherapy sessions. With intervals of 1 - 1.5 months

LASER targets these "broken" vessels that are dilated, the capillaries or arterioles. Its energy is absorbed only by the red pigment of the blood, hemoglobin; this way the walls of the vessels are destroyed and eliminated from the body. Sclerotherapy, on the other hand, causes the elimination of the varicose veins, with local infusion of a special solution. The results become visible from the very first session and are gradually improved after each session. The average number of sessions required is 2 to 4.

The treatment is painless, as the LASER has an advanced cooling mechanism to prevent the burning sensation during the treatment. Both LASER and Sclerotherapy, target the blood vessels and do not affect the surrounding tissues at all. The treatment is completely safe and leaves no marks or scars.

After treatment, compression stockings are recommended for two weeks. It is also recommended to avoid direct exposure to sun, as well as intense rubbing of the area.
